Don Amott's Lakeside Park scoops a VisitEngland ROSE 2026 award

Don Amott's Lakeside Park, near Louth, Lincolnshire has been awarded a coveted VisitEngland ROSE award for 2026 - one of the biggest accolades in UK tourism with only 100 awarded each year.
ROSE, which stands for Recognition Of Service Excellence is awarded following independent, unannounced inspections by a VisitEngland assessor. The awards recognise accommodation providers across England who give visitors the best customer experience. They celebrate the owners, management and employees who deliver world-class service and the warmest of welcomes.
In 2026 Lakeside Park achieved an exceptional 97% assessment score to maintain their 5-star Gold rating.
Based near Louth and owned and run by the Amott family for 40 years, the drive for perfection, sustainability and accessibility remains a personal endeavour.
Managing Director Richard Bestwick dedicated this award to his team.

Much as we glory in the VisitEngland 97% grading, it’s the missing 3% which gives us a sharp focus. Each year the management team starts our winter projects with the report to hand, it’s the small margins where we can improve which is the difference between average and excellent."
